February Empties

Here’s a short summary of the skincare products I finished up in February.

Self Reflect Probiotic Moisturizing Sunscreen Zinc Oxide SPF 32 – This is my second tube of Self Reflect and it has the potential to be my default mineral sunscreen. I don’t know if you can tell that I cut the top off so I could scrape the sunscreen out when I got to the end. It hits all the requirements I have for a sunscreen except that I wish it was SPF 50 instead of 32.

Supermellow Hydrating Gel Cream Moisturizer – I had an enjoyable experience with this moisturizer. It’s light, smells yummy, but is a bit sticky when I apply it. I like it well enough to repurchase it, but if I can get a moisturizer that’s less expensive and has a smoother application, I’d get that instead.

Instant Cleansing Balm – This balm worked well enough to remove my sunscreen, dirt and whatnot. However the one time I wore eye makeup, I saw that there was still a little eyeliner leftover. It didn’t perform better than The Ordinary’s Squalane Cleanser, so I probably won’t get this balm again.

Balancing Gel – I initially thought that this gel was going to be a total dud because of its honey-like texture, but using it as the last step in my night routine has been beneficial. When I wake up in the morning I can tell that it’s trapped in all the products I used, instead of them ending up on my pillow. I repurchased the 60ml tube because the 100ml comes in a jar and scooping it out can get messy.

I also finished the Ascorbic Acid 8% + Alpha Arbutin 2%, the Naked Papaya Gentle Enzyme Face Cleanser, the Green Pearlsation PHA Calming Toner, and the Freshly Juiced Vitamin E Mask. I already have a second bottle of the vitamin c serum lined up, but the rest of them didn’t make the cut.
