Minnesota Institute for Early Career Librarians

Okay, so the official title for the institute is Minnesota Institute for Early Career Librarians from Traditionally Underrepresented Groups, but I thought it was too long of a title for WordPress (and for me).

The MIECLTUG is a week long institute where academic librarians attend seminars and receive training “to learn about leadership and organizational behavior in institutions of higher education.” The institute runs every other year and to apply you must have no more than three years experience in an academic library and come for an underrepresented group…but you probably guessed that last bit already.

Obviously I can’t apply for this, but hopefully you can. The deadline is March 1st.

  1. No I can’t apply for this either but one day you will!
So what’s it like to be at work on your first day?
You looked so cute in the pictures you sent. Why not post for all to see.
